Iceland Golfer Makes PGA Tour History

Olafur Loftsson will be the first Icelander to take part in a PGA Tour event. Loftsson was offered an invitation to play in the Wyndham Championship when he won The Cardinal Amateur this past Sunday. Two Iceland news outlets sent news crews to cover the event, which is already receiving a great deal of attention, as golf is Iceland’s second most popular sport after soccer.

Loftsson moved to the US to make his dream of playing in the PGA Tour a reality. Click here for more information.
