‘Game of Thrones’ Wraps Season 3 Filming in Iceland

The cast and crew of ‘Game of Thrones’ finished filming scenes for the show’s third season in Iceland on November 24.  To celebrate, the crew planned a party at Hótel Gígur by Lake Mývatn.

‘Game of Thrones’ also shot scenes in Iceland in November 2011. This year, the crew opted for Mývatn in North Iceland, as snowfall is more likely in the area. The series filmed additional scenes in Ireland and Morocco over the past four months.
