The Rey Cup, which has been held every year since 2002, has been scheduled for July 20th-24th this year at the Laugardalur Sport Center in Reykjavik, Iceland. This football tournament attracts many international teams to participate ranging from the UK to other Nordic countries.
Each team is made up of boys and girls ranging from 13-16. The teams will play a minimum of 5 matches during the four days. The winning teams will receive trophies and a prize will also be given to the best sportsmanlike team at the end of the tournament.
The tournament isn’t all that happens during the four days. There are many other activities for the kids to do such as a pool party, barbeque dinner, disco, an opening ceremony, and a Friday night special offer for bowling or a movie for the Rey Cup players.
