Excitement ahoy! The first ten artists to play at this year’s Iceland Airwaves have been announced – among the confirmed Icelandic talent so far are the divine sóley, Prins Póló, Sykur and psych rockers The Vintage Caravan.
Icelandic electronica will also be well-represented by trio Samaris and Úlfur Úlfur, while East London band Django Django, Brooklyn-based Friends, Elena Tonra’s folk project Daughter (who will, incidentally, be supported by Lay Low in New York next month) and Brooklyn’s goth-electro duo Exitmusic will be among the international acts appearing.
