Calling all photography enthusiasts: the Icelandic Photography Festival returns to Reykjavík for the fifth year from January 17 – 18 at the Reykjavík Museum of Photography! The portfolio review is meant to broaden photographers’ networks and give them opportunities to receive advice and feedback on their work.
The jury consists of both Icelandic and international specialists in their fields, including museum directors, museum/gallery curators, editors of photographic journals and more. Besides giving participants guidance on their work, the festival also offers various opportunities, such as participating in festivals or exhibitions in Iceland and abroad. By registering in the review, artists can choose if they’d like to participate in a grant allocation from the Magnús Ólafsson (1862-1937) Memorial Fund, which aims to promote photography in Iceland as an art form.
