Book Today: Icelandair’s Sónar Music Festival Package!

Don’t miss this great early bird deal to experience the electrifying music festival!

This winter, Icelandair is offering customers an incredible package deal paired with the Sónar Music Festival. The flights depart February 17th and 18th for the festival, which takes place February 18th – 20th in Reykjavik, and prices start from just $585* per person.

Sónar is the International Festival of Advanced Music, which originated in Barcelona in 1994, but now finds its home in the eclectic capital of Reykjavik (among other cities worldwide). Sónar is well-loved not just for the excitement and quality music that it brings, but also for its diversity. The 2016 program is set to feature over 60 bands, solo artists and DJs, with talents ranging from the up-and-coming to the well-established. The Icelandic music scene has always been diverse, and Sónar is a way to experience the truly magical bond between Icelandic musicians and performers. Plus, the Sónar festival occurs during the best time of the year, where the beautiful Icelandic winter and unique Arctic darkness create a stark contrast to the bright lights and electric crowds of the festival-goers inside.

The festival will take place in the majestic Harpa Concert Hall, located in the heart of Reykjavik. The performances use five different stages; between the two main stages, SonarClub and SonarHall, Harpa’s underground car park will morph into the SonarLab nightclub. SonarPub, the newest stage, will also continue to be part of the 2016 festival, taking up the concert house’s second floor, while SonarComplex in the seated hall will send you on a journey through popular music, downtempo and experimental compositions. Confirmed acts include Hudson Mohawke and his shimmering live shows; techno spinning Rødhåd and fellow German, Recondite; the Danish super trio, AV AV AV; the newly formed trio GANGLY; hip-hop newcomer, Sturla Atlas; and many, many more.

Ticket-buyers can pick up their festival passes at Harpa Concert Hall on February 17th and during the festival itself. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to listen, dance and party with the Icelandic music scene’s hottest performers in 2016!
