Björk Announces New Album: Vulnicura

Björk will release her latest album in March 2015.

Likely Iceland’s most well-known musician, Björk is always pushing creative boundaries with her music and art. Her last album, Biophilia (2011), was released in app form and featured beautiful videos and visuals to go along with each track. Last night, the singer announced on Twitter that she will release a new album, titled Vulnicura, in March.

Although we don’t know much about how or where this album will be released, we do know that the album will have 9 tracks:

According to Rolling Stone, Björk wrote six of the songs and handled the strings arrangements herself. She also co-wrote two songs with Arca and Haxan Cloak.

This March also marks the opening of a MoMA exhibit highlighting Björk’s impressive 20+ year carreer. Click here to learn more about this installation. For a chance to see Björk perform some of her new songs live, check out the Governor’s Ball music festival in New York June 5-7, where Björk is a headliner!
