61st Annual Iceland Horse Festival

For more than 60 years, Iceland’s most well bred and majestic horses have gathered in Vindheimamelar, Skagafjörður in North Iceland. Riders from age 13 and up compete in this horse festival of epic proportions. While Icelanders are incredibly proud of their horses and take the competition seriously, there is something for everyone at Landsmót; in addition to the equestrian entertainment, there are also concerts, dancing and more. Set in the height of the Icelandic summer, the sun barely sets during the festival.
