This year at Taste of Iceland in Boston, the Iceland Design Center presents: Iceland’s Thriving Design and Architectural Scene. Join Halla Helgadóttir, Managing Director of the Iceland Design Centre, at the BSA Space for a discussion on Icelandic design and architecture. The Iceland Design Center is owned and run by designers of all backgrounds, including architects, fashion, graphic, product, interior, furniture and textile designers, goldsmiths and ceramic artists. As a result, the unified design community has a strong voice in Iceland, has become more respected, and is able to positively impact society. Designers have a unique, important set of skills that every industry can benefit from. During the free luncheon event at BSA Space, Halla will discuss the importance of this unified voice, and how designers can work together to influence how we approach and address sustainability, the environment and business.
