Live on the Edge With Icelandair’s “Edge of the Arctic Escorted Tour”

There’s beauty in the untouched parts of the earth, and a journey to Northern Iceland is the perfect opportunity to experience nature’s untarnished beauty. Join Icelandair’s Edge of the Arctic Tour to visit Husavik, a town full of natural wonders and sights, where you can learn about Iceland’s agriculture and visit some truly breathtaking sights.

Upon your arrival in Iceland, you will begin your tour in historic Reykjavik. You can take this day to explore the town, or perhaps take a dip in a geothermal pool to unwind from your travels.

The following day, you’ll board a flight to Husavik. You begin your tour on a celestial note with a visit to Godafoss, The Waterfall of the Gods. Then, you see the “earthy” part of Iceland with the Grenjadarstadir Folk Museum, where you can learn about Iceland’s agricultural history. Next, you’ll see a modern day greenhouse, where Iceland grows a multitude of produce even in the harshest of winters. You can end the day with a search for Iceland’s “classic” wonder: The Northern Lights.

The next stop is Lake Myvatn, where you can see anything from natural craters to lava formations at Dimmuborgir. Your journey continues on to Dettifoss, the world’s most powerful waterfall, in Glacier River Canyon, Jokulsargljufur. The Myvatn Nature Baths is one of the most relaxing ways to end the day.

Husavik has a lot to offer, and with a simple stroll you can take in a lot of its history. Walk by the harbor or visit the Husavik Whale Museum. Then, hop in a car to go somewhere a lot of tourists don’t know about: the Tjornes peninsula. Explore Asbyrgi National Park, a horseshoe shaped canyon rich with mythological meaning and aesthetic beauty. With that, you return to Reykjavik for one more chance to explore the lively city.

This trip is rich in sights and exploration. The prices begin at $1,645 per person for double occupancy, and accommodations include Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura and Fosshotel Husavik. Depart from any of Icelandair’s North American Hubs, and book your travel for departure days: February 12 or 26, or March 5, or 19.

Book your tickets now; Husavik is waiting for you!
