An Icelandair Travel Deal to Journey Into the Glacier

Icelandair is offering a new travel deal just in time for the opening of the new ice cave tunnel that passes through the Langjokull Glacier in West Iceland. Langjokull is the second-largest glacier in Europe, and after five years of planning and constructing, you can now journey into the glacier through the new tunnel!

In addition to nonstop round-trip flights to Iceland, this package includes a two night stay in the capital city at Hotel Reykjavik Natura, and a third night at Hotel Husafell, a four-star hotel in West Iceland. Husafell is in close proximity to the Langjokull Glacier, as well as beautiful forests, natural hot springs, lava caves, and perhaps even the northern lights if the sky is clear (for the best chance of seeing the aurora borealis, come back to Iceland in the winter)! Guests participating in the Icelandair travel deal will receive admission to the geothermal pools and the glacier tunnel, as well as complimentary Scandinavian breakfast every morning!

What will it be like walking through a glacier? With a guide, your group will board an 8-wheel glacier truck that will bring you right onto the ice. From there your group will enter the ‘Into the Glacier’ experience as you journey through a tunnel of LED-lit ice walls. The tunnel extends approximately 650 feet into the glacier, and as you venture towards the glacier’s heart, you will be able to walk across the middle of a crevasse over a bridge specially made for the experience. There are also exhibitions, a cafe, and even a small chapel inside the tunnel…for anyone who is looking to tie the knot underground in the middle of a glacier, of course! Click here to read more about Into the Glacier.

This is surely not a travel deal to miss! If you’ve ever wanted to travel to Iceland, now is the time to do it! On top of the ice tunnel opening, there are always fun things to do and see in Reykjavik, and natural wonders outside of it to explore. Click here to book your Journey Into the Glacier adventure now, with prices starting at $1,169* per person!
