On May 20, 2015, Icelandair will launch service from their 14th North American gateway in Portland, Oregon. To celebrate this exciting event, Icelandair is offering a special package that starts at just $1,120* per person for a limited time (based on double occupancy).

To continue the celebration of their newest North American gateway, Icelandair is running a “#PDXtravelganza” campaign! What exactly is it, you ask? From April 10-12, 2015, Icelandair representatives will be stumping through Stumptown and the entire Portland metro area, providing locals the daily chance to win a pair of round-trip tickets to Europe! In addition, t-shirts, gift certificates for travel on Icelandair, Icelandic music CDs and other cool prizes will be given away, from North Portland to Southeast, from Old Town to Hollywood.
How can you participate?
- Icelandair will provide that day’s password on Facebook and Twitter, along with clues to help find the location of each day’s tickets
- Clues will be given at various times of the day until the tickets are found
- The first person to arrive at the secret location and reveal the password to the Icelandair representatives will win tickets for two to one of more than 20 destinations in Europe
Win or lose, Portland citizens can get a taste of Iceland with “Brennivin Week” from April 7 – 11. Those looking to try the famed Icelandic aquavit can stop by Fenrir, located at 2005 SE 11th Ave. in Portland for several unique Brennivin cocktails, and on Friday, April 10, Portlanders can visit the Multnomah Whiskey Library located at 1124 SW Alder Street for a special Brennivin cocktail night.
