JOHANN JOHANNSSON CONCERT AT BASILICA HUDSON SOUNDSCAPE

On September 19th, acclaimed Icelandic composer Johann Johannsson would have turned 50. As part of ongoing international tributes to Johannsson and in celebration of his work, Basilica SoundScape 2019 will host the North American premiere of his piece Virdulegu Forsetar for large brass ensemble. There will be a panel discussion featuring members of the Johann Johannsson Foundation that will explore and examine Johannsson’s work, influence and legacy.
