Sigurður Laufdal currently serves as the head chef at Grillið. Prior to joining Grillið, Sigurður worked at Geranium, a three star Michelin rated restaurant in Copenhagen, as well as Restaurant OLO, a one star Michelin rated restaurant in Finland. In 2011, Sigurður was named Chef of the Year in Iceland and competed in Bocuse d’Or in 2012 and 2013 where he represented Iceland.
