Tune Into Our Future Stories Playwright Panel on May 25!

The panel will feature Nordic playwrights discussing the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on our future stories on stage.

This Tuesday, May 25 at 12pm ET, the Scandinavian American Theater Company (SATC) will host the Our Future Stories Playwright Panel to explore the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on our future stories on stage. Panelists include Eva Rún Snorradóttir from Iceland, Saaramaria Kuittinen from Finland, and Camara Lundestad Joof from Norway. The virtual event is free of charge, but be sure to reserve a ticket on the event’s website ahead of time.

The panel is part of the Our Future Stories project, a collection of audio experiences, mixing elements of podcasts, radio plays, and sound installations. Our Future Stories was developed under the artistic leadership of SATC’s new artistic director, Hallfridur Thora Tryggvadottir from Iceland, and is a part of UN75, the world’s largest conversation on our collective future, an initiative of the United Nations Secretary General.

Founded in 2009, SATC has brought Nordic theater to the U.S. and helped discover a new generation of Scandinavian playwrights and theater artists. SATC presents contemporary plays and inventive takes on the classics from the Nordic region, which includes Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe and Aaland Islands. SATC is committed to building a bridge between theater makers in Scandinavia and the United States.
