Icelandic Menu at NORTH Food Festival, October 3 & 6

Iceland Airwaves and Filter Magazine Present Reykjavik Calling, October 5
Reykjavik Calling, presented by Iceland Airwaves and Filter Magazine Culture Collide, will feature three of the best emerging Icelandic musicians, collaborating with two New York acts for a night of unique musical performances. Admission is FREE with ticket. Must be 18 years or older to enter.

How Do Little Frogs Fly? Small States in the International System, October 4
As part of A Taste of Iceland in New York, the Icelandic American Chamber of Commerce and the Consulate General of Iceland in New York invites you to a lecture lead by Professor Baldur Thorhallsson, ‘Class of 1955’ Visiting Professor of International Studies at Williams College, Massachusetts, at the Consulate General of Iceland in New York on October 4th. The focus of the lecture will be on the role of small states in the international system. Topics to be discussed will include: Vulnerability of Small States, Domestic Arrangement & Democratic Corporatism, External Arrangement & Alliance Formation, and a discussion regarding how small states can become proactive.
The lecture takes place on Friday, October 4th from 4-5 PM, followed by an hour-long networking session. The Consulate General of Iceland in New York is located at 800 Third Avenue, 36th Floor. There is limited seating so please RSVP to iacc@mfa.is before October 2nd.
