Calling all film lovers - Stockfish Film Festival has returned to Reykjavik for 10 days of fun!

Stockfish Film Festival is kicking off its festivities today in Reykjavik, drawing film lovers from across the world to celebrate the European film industry and Iceland’s rich history with cinema. This impressive new festival runs February 18 – 28 at Bíó Paradís, Reykjavik’s independent art-house cinema.

Now in its second year, the Stockfish Film Festival aims to create a platform in Reykjavík to encourage collaboration between domestic and international film communities. The festival will screen over 30 hand-picked award winning films, including some of the most up-and-coming art-house films in the world. From retrospectives and short films to documentaries and children’s movies, there’s sure to be a film that catches your interest at this fast-growing, innovative festival.

In addition to screening films, the festival also features a variety of exciting events for filmmakers and film professionals. Events include Q&A sessions, master classes, panels featuring international speakers and more. The festival is an excellent place for national and international film professionals to network within the industry as well as discuss the state of the filmmaking industry and community as a whole.
