From April 8-13, Reykjavik will host one of the most exciting music festivals of the year: The Reykjavik Blues Festival. Bands from all over the world will converge in Iceland’s capital to showcase their sound and experience the work of other international artists.
Past events featured music from emerging artists such as The Berklee Youngbloods, a group of musicians from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, The Reykjavík Hipshakers, and many more.
The festival kicks off Saturday with “Blues Day,” the traditional opening theme, featuring live blues music in different venues around the city and plenty of good food.
The Hilton Reykjavík Nordica will host three “grand performances” on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings (April 11–13). Tickets for these performances can be purchased at the door, and include entrance to all three of the main concerts. Keep in mind, tickets are limited!
