In Iceland Feb 11–15, 2016

Rainbow Reykjavik Kicks Off on Thursday, Feb. 11!

The 5th-annual LGBTQ winter pride festival is returning to Iceland for a weekend of fun.

The 5th annual Rainbow Reykjavik international LGBTQ winter pride festival is taking place from February 11 – 14, 2016. Guests from around the world, including the United States, Canada, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Norway, will all flock to Iceland’s capital for the lively three-day festival.

Rainbow Reykjavik combines amazing nature, nightlife and the famous northern lights into one exciting weekend. Experience waterfalls, erupting geysers, the most popular LGBTQ party of the season, comedy shows, world-class cuisine and geothermal baths all neatly arranged over three glorious days. This small pride festival really is the perfect winter getaway and a great introduction to Iceland!

So, who’s behind this incredible festival? Pink Iceland, of course! “We are Pink Iceland, Iceland’s first and foremost tour operator and travel agency dedicated to LGBTQI clientele. When possible we work with partners who are gay – (queer -) owned and operated or queer friendly, but always awesome. This year marks the first year Pink Iceland is solely responsible for the Rainbow Reykjavik Festival. Until now we’ve worked closely with and been supported by our great friends at Icelandair, Icelandair Hotels, Reykjavik Excursions and Visit Reykjavik. We will continue to work closely with these allies who’ve been instrumental in laying the foundations for this wonderful festival.”
