This month, New York City’s Scandinavia House will host a book launch event to celebrate the release of Digital Dynamics in Nordic Contemporary Art, a fascinating work that explores the effects of the digital age on the world of Nordic art.
Digital Dynamics in Nordic Contemporary Art, a highly-anticipated five-year project, offers readers the opportunity to examine the ever-changing relationship between digital technology and art with a special emphasis on art within the Nordic context. Prominent scholars and curators of Nordic art come together in this eye-opening work, with each chapter providing a unique firsthand look into how artists’ imaginations, tools, and worldviews are impacted by an evolving digital culture.
On February 23rd, guests are invited to enjoy a captivating culture-filled afternoon, including an artist introduction and book lecture from editor Tanya Toft Ag. The event will also feature an interactive performance by Swedish artists Lundahl & Seitl, who invite participants to take part in a one-of-a-kind, immersive experience. See a preview of the performance, titled Unknown Cloud on Its Way To… below.
Tickets are free, but guests must RSVP in order to attend this event. Check out the full schedule for the book launch on the event’s Facebook page, and register to attend here. More information about Digital Dynamics in Nordic Contemporary Art can be found on the book’s Facebook page!
