Gudni Thor Thorsteinsson’s new book, Welcome to Lava Land, is a literary and musical journey like you’ve never experienced before. The work features nine sections, each capturing the essence of a different aspect of Iceland with prose, drawings and a musical accompaniment available on Spotify!
Welcome to Lava Land celebrates and explores the creative experience of the artist, the exciting journey of the adventurer and the historic culture of Iceland. The project, which took over two years to complete, will be released on November 23 at a launch event at Bryggja Brugghús at Reykjavík Harbor. Starting at 8:00pm local time, the evening will feature a festive party as well as a concert starting at 10:00pm.
Readers are encouraged to color the pictures included in the text in their own way and write down notes so they can create their own experience throughout Welcome to Lava Land.
