Attention Denver! Over the next three months, you’ll have the opportunity to experience Reykjavik, Iceland, in your own city! Icelandair is transforming Zeppelin Station in Denver into a full Icelandic experience. The “Made in Reykjavik” pop-up takes locals on an immersive journey through the best of Iceland’s fashion, art, food and cocktails. Visit the Facebook event page for more and to RSVP. To enter, visit the popup at Zeppelin Station, snap a photo of your experience at Made in Reykjavik, including a favorite designer, artist, performer, food, event or workshop. From March 21-24, Iceland Naturally and Icelandair are sponsoring a mini-festival featuring live music, comedy, literature readings, film and visual art along with food and drink specials! Be sure to visit Zeppelin Station, located at 3501 Wazee St Suite #100, Denver, CO 80216, to experience all the events!
On March 21 from 5 – 7pm, check out Zeppelin Station’s Big Trouble for an Icelandic cocktail class. The night will feature Icelandic mixologist, Kári Sigurðsson, crafting delicious cocktails with Iceland’s favorite vodka, Reyka Vodka, and Brennivin, the signature spirit of Iceland.
Then, on March 22, head over to Kiss and Ride from 5 – 8pm for a uniquely Icelandic happy hour! Be sure to stick around for cartoonist, writer and comedian Hugleikur Dagsson’s comedy show from 8 – 9pm.
The next day, on March 23, attend a literature discussion with Icelandic writer Andri Snær Magnason at Zeppelin Station’s main event space at 2pm. Following the literature event, catch an assortment of Icelandic films from the 2017 Stockfish film festival at 4pm!
That night, don’t miss your chance to see two up-and-coming Icelandic bands perform: at Big Trouble, Kælan Mikla and Mammút take to the stage in Denver. Doors will open at 8pm and the show starts at 9pm, so make sure to get there early! Check out music from the indie rock bands below.
