Reykjavík-based dark-wave punk trio Kælan Mikla is embarking on their first-ever American tour later this month, kicking off in Los Angeles and closing out in Chicago! After gaining notoriety in Iceland and opening for popular rock bands, such as The Cure, the Taste of Iceland alum are finally playing their unique blend of punk rock music for larger American audiences.
The tour starts off at the Pasadena Daydream Festival in California and will continue nonstop for the next three weeks. Coming off of a highly successful album release and a 30-date European tour, Kælan Mikla will be touring in promotion of their album “Nott eftir nott” and their new music video “Hvernig kemst ég upp?”. Throughout the tour, Kælan Mikla will be joined by other rock bands Cloud Rat and Street Sects. You can check out their latest album here:
The tour will not only traverse the United States but will also feature one performance in Mexico. Even if you’ve never listened to Kælan Mikla, Revolver says that the show is a “must” for anyone who is a fan of “post-punk, dark music.” Grab your tickets while you still can!
