The Icelandic author will discuss his book “On Time and Water” at 7pm ET.

This Thursday, April 15 at 7pm ET, Andri Snaer Magnason will launch his book On Time and Water – virtually! Tune in on Facebook to hear his conversation with fellow writers Meehan Crist and Lytton Smith. The group will discuss Magnason’s new book as well as other literary topics.

Andri Snaer Magnason is one of Iceland’s most celebrated writers. He has won the Icelandic Literary Prize for fiction, children’s fiction, and non-fiction. In 2009, he co-directed the documentary “Dreamland,” which was based on his book Dreamland: A Self-Help Manual for a Frightened Nation. In 2010, Magnason was awarded the Kairos Prize, presented to outstanding individuals in the field of intercultural understanding. 

Magnason’s book On Time and Water is a narrative nonfiction piece that illustrates the reality of climate change and offers home in the face of an uncertain future. The book is made up of interviews and advice from leading glacial, ocean, climate, and geographical scientists, and is interwoven with personal, historical, and mythological stories.
