Icelandic Music Meets Glassblowing in Brooklyn

Icelandic pianist Tinna Thorsteinsdóttir will perform at UrbanGlass June 18th.

On June 18th, Icelandic musician Tinna Thorsteinsdóttir will join American glass artist Alli Hoag for a one night only performance at UrbanGlass in Brooklyn. Tinna will provide the soundtrack to Alli’s glass blowing in the Fort Greene studio. The free performance is inspired by the Icelandic term bylta; a heavy blow, overturn, roll or tumble about. The pair is looking to answer the question, “In what ways can we make glass and music collide?” Click here to reserve tickets.

Tinna is a classically trained pianist, and is especially passionate about 21st century style music. She has performed at the Reykjavik Arts Festival and the Dark Music Days festival in Reykjavík.
