The renowned Icelandic blockbuster, “The Oath,” makes its U.S. debut on September 8 in cities across the country! This psychological thriller is the brainchild of Icelandic filmmaker Baltasar Kormákur, known for his direction in other popular films like Contraband and Everest. Not only did Kormákur direct and write The Oath, but he also takes on the movie’s lead role in his first appearance in front of the camera in eight years! Kormákur portrays a father whose mission is to pull his daughter out of the world of drugs and petty crime, only to find that danger can be found in unexpected places.
