Icelandic author and poet Sölvi Björn Sigurðsson will be one of 12 featured PEN artists at the “A Literary Quest” event on Friday, May 8 at the Westbeth Center for the Arts in New York City. Attendees are invited to wander the hallways, map in hand, to find an evening’s worth of literary events inside Westbeth Artists’ Housing, the city’s oldest and largest artist community. Meet and hear PEN authors, and end the night at the closing reception in the Westbeth Gallery. All proceeds benefit the Westbeth Artists Residents Council.
Sölvi Björn Sigurðsson is the author of three books of poetry, as well as three novels. Most recently, The Icelandic Water Book was published in the fall of 2013. A translator of classical poetry, he has also received distinguished nominations for his translation of Rimbaud’s A Season in Hell. His Diabolical Comedy, a modern take on The Divine Comedy, has been translated into Finnish, Swedish, and Danish. Click here to learn more about Sölvi.
