Iceland Airwaves Returns for its 20th Year in Reykjavik!

From November 7-10, Iceland’s biggest music festival will showcase the latest and greatest in music.

Iceland’s oldest and largest music festival, Iceland Airwaves, returns to Reykjavik for nonstop musical performances from November 7-10! This year marks the 20th celebration of the famous musical showcase. Over four days and nights, 240 acts from 25 different countries will take the stage to play for music lovers from across the globe.

Two decades ago, the festival started in an aircraft hanger and has since become a trailblazer for Icelandic music festivals. Airwaves has since grown into one of the biggest musical showcases in Reykjavik, taking place in a variety of both traditional and non-traditional venues. Locations for the 2018 festival include cafes, art museums, theatres, bars and more! You can see a full list of venues for 2018 here.

The festival brings together the newest and best musical performers from all genres. This year, headliners such as Sin Fang, Sóley & Örvar Smárason, Cola Boyy, The Rhythm Method, and Simon Raymonde will  bring their talent to the stage for special performances. Committed to closing the gender gap between performers, the 2018 Iceland Airwaves festival will feature more female artists than ever before.
