Get Ready to Set Sail With These Icelandic Cruises!

Icelandic cruises offer tourists fun excursions and views that can’t be beat!

Whether you’ve traveled to Iceland before or are a first time visitor, an Icelandic cruise is the perfect way to experience a variety of adventures. A number of cruise companies are offering exciting nautical vacations around the land of fire and ice; here are what some of the top cruise lines have to offer!

Peregrine Adventures offers travelers an 8-day Cruising Iceland excursion along the west coast of Iceland. The trip includes stops in Siglufjordur, Iceland’s northernmost city; the fishing port of Isafjordur; and Heimaey Island, the largest and most populated island off the Icelandic coast. This cruise is unique in that it drops anchor in the middle of port towns so passengers can hop on or off the boat as they please.

Variety Cruises brings tourists the Journeys in the Land of Ice & Fire: Akureyri to Reykjavik cruise throughout the summer. The ship offers a more personal travel experience with only 34 fellow passengers. Throughout the 8-day excursion, attendees have the opportunity to spot sea life; explore Heimaey Island; visit Namarskard, a striking geothermal field, and much more!

Iceland ProCruises offers a number of 10-day Iceland circumnavigation trips. The cruises venture to the popular spots such as Reykjavik, but also include some lesser-known stops, such as the town of Stykkisholmur, known for the Snaefellsjokull glacier which sits atop a 700,000-year-old dormant volcano!

MSC Northern Europe Cruise offers travelers a 12-day experience with stops in Akureyri, Isafjordur and Reykjavik. Travelers can opt for onshore excursions, too, such as kayaking through fjords and hikes to waterfalls (while these are at an additional cost, they are well worth it!).

For a more luxurious experience, travelers may consider Group IST’s Iceland Adventure. This trip takes place on a yacht with rich woodwork, brass finishes and antique décor. Passengers will have the opportunity to explore Iceland’s coast, visit the Akureyri’s Art Alley, travel to the Godafoss Waterfalls, explore local fishing towns and more!

No matter which line you chose, your Icelandic cruise adventure promises to offer an experience unlike any other.
