First Annual RVK Feminist Film Festival Comes to Iceland January 16-19

The festival honors females in the film industry!

From January 16-19, the first annual RVK Feminist Film Festival will be held in Reykjavík. The festival aims to bring more attention to female film directors and equalize the gender deficit in the film business around the world.

Attendees will experience world class filmmaking by female directors from across the globe, join in on eye opening Q&As and workshops, and enjoy fun wintry activities, including hopefully catching a glimpse of the Northern lights. During the festival, guests can make the most of their time in Iceland and enjoy a distinctly feminist “Golden Circle Tour” offered by Pink Iceland. Sign up for the tour here!

The Feminist Film Festival seeks to bring compelling and unique content that both inspires viewers and honors the filmmakers. The festival features movie titles including A Regular Woman, Snow Woman, Alba, The Island Funeral and more! Check out the full lineup of screenings here.

A festival pass grants access to all film screenings, but if you can’t make it to the full festival, there will also be ticket sales for separate screenings launching this month.
