Get ready for Taste of Iceland New York by enjoying specialty drinks from Brennivín at a bar takeover at VON located at 3 Bleeker St, New York, NY!
Á Leiðinni Upp Ísland! (“Going Up Iceland!”) will take place on September 9th downstairs at VON from 9pm-close. This event is in partnership with Going Up NYC – a weekly guest bartender series. Eirikur Hallson from GLORIA restaurant, Justin Lane Briggs from Skurnik Wines and Icelandic mixologist Tóta will come together for this event to create spectacular cocktails.
Guests will enjoy specialty cocktails mixed with the Icelandic aquavit, Brennivín, and Opal Icelandic Liqueur. Brennivín is made from pure, Icelandic spring water and spiced with caraway seeds. Opal is an Icelandic favorite, made from licorice and other botanicals.
