Create and Experience Icelandic and International Art at the LungA Festival

Enjoy a week of workshops, concerts and art exhibitions at this annual festival in Seyðisfjörður.

From July 15-22, visit Seyðisfjörður to take part in LungA, an immersive international art festival! The annual festival provides artists with professional workshops and lectures to learn about new creative techniques and present their work in various exhibitions throughout the week.

LungA is famous for not only exhibiting artwork, but also for teaching its visitors about creativity and culture. The festival will hold nine workshops this year, including one for children ages 12-18. The workshops range in topics; one workshop plans to help you create a character and learn about physical comedy from Trygve Wakenshaw, while another will help you master basic puppetry skills. Find out about all of the available workshops here.

This year’s festival theme is “Gender.” Throughout the event, participants will be able to explore the theme through panel discussions, lectures and exercises. Many of the art pieces and performances will also encapsulate this year’s theme.

To wrap up this exciting event, a two-day concert will be held on the final weekend featuring a unique lineup of artists from hip-hop to electronica. Princess Nokia, an American rapper known for her thrilling performances and feminist lyrics, is set to headline the concert. Other acts include Svala, Sykur and Pall Oskar.

Be sure to check out LungA to experience new art, music and take part in this unique experience! You can find out more about LungA and purchase tickets to the events here.
