Announcing the Fall 2019 Taste of Iceland Line-Up!

The best Icelandic food, music, culture and more is coming to NYC, Seattle and Toronto!

Taste of Iceland, the acclaimed, multi-day Icelandic festival is back this fall! The festival offers attendees an experiential glimpse into Iceland’s rich culture and offers (mostly free!) events highlighting the Nordic nation’s cuisine, cocktails, music, design and film across a number of North American cities. This fall, the festival stops by New York City, Seattle and Toronto from September to November, respectively. Taste of Iceland in New York City | September 12-15, 2019

Taste of Iceland kicks off in New York City on September 12! Stop by Brooklyn Cider House for an Icelandic menu prepared by Chef Gísli Matt. Taste of Iceland’s acclaimed, free concert, Reykjavik Calling, features a night of musical fun with Icelandic bands Kælan Mikla and Sólstafir (more details below!). Learn all about Iceland’s thriving literary culture from acclaimed author Andri Snær Magnason. This is just the beginning, so be sure to stay tuned for details on these events plus many more!  

Iceland Naturally is proud to once again host the Reykjavik Calling concert in collaboration with WFUV at 9:00pm on September 14 at the Brooklyn Brewery. This special concert will feature two Icelandic bands: Kælan Mikla, a mesmerizing all-girl synth-punk trio who have opened for The Cure, and Sólstafir, a metal/classic rock fusion band with songs inspired by the landscapes of their native Iceland. Admission to the free concert is granted on a first-come, first-served basis, so come early! (Must be 21+ to enter.)

Taste of Iceland in Seattle | October 11-20, 2019

Seattle, get ready to experience Icelandic culture with the return of Taste of Iceland from October 11-20! Take a seat at Cuoco for a delectable Icelandic menu prepared by Icelandic Chef Georg Arnar Halldorsson and Seattle’s own Ron Anderson. Join renowned mixologist Tóta for a special cocktail class at Hotel Andra. Experience Icelandic film with a handful of short-film showings from the acclaimed Icelandic Short Fish festival. Iceland’s First Lady, Eliza Reid, delves into Icelandic literature at Seattle Public Central Library. More events include Iceland Day, a Gender Equality Panel, Nordic Knitting Conference and, of course, Reykjavik Calling! Plus, in celebration of Icelandair’s 10th anniversary in Seattle, the airline is hosting a 10 day online scavenger hunt with loads of prizes and a 10% discount voucher when you book your ticket online.
