Andri Snær Magnason Comes To New York’s Scandinavia House!

The Icelandic author along with Danish architect, Bjarke Ingels, will lead a book talk on May 7.

If you’re in New York City on May 7, be sure to stop by Scandinavia House for an interesting discussion regarding time and how to give shape to the future. The book talk will be lead by Icelandic author, Andri Snær Magnason and Danish architect and founder of BIG Bjarke Ingels Group, Bjarke Ingels. The discussion will center around the launch of Andri’s latest book, The Casket of Time.

Magnason is the award-winning author of Dreamland: A Self Help Manual for a Frightened Nation. His other book, The Story of the Blue Planet, was the first children’s book to receive the Icelandic Literary Award. Magnason has received countless literary awards across the globe and is known for his fight in preserving the nature and culture of Iceland.

Bjarke Ingels is a distinguished architect and designer. He co-founded BIG Bjarke Ingels Group in 2005 and PLOT Architects in 2001. In 2016, Ingels was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World by TIME Magazine. He continues to hold many lectures on contemporary life and design and has spoken at TED, AMCHAM and the World Economic Forum.
