The 2020 Stockfish Film Festival Arrives This Month!

Head to Reykjavík from March 12-22 to catch screenings of this year’s award-winning movies!

The world renowned Stockfish Film Festival is returning to Reykjavík for its 6th year from March 12th – 22nd! The city will welcome local and international film talent and enthusiasts for a celebration of the year’s most acclaimed art-house films. The festival is a revival of the Reykjavik Film Festival that originally started in 1978, and encourages collaboration among professionals in the film industry. 

Stockfish will be held in collaboration with Bíó Paradís and Icelandic Film Centre. Additional partners include The Film Director’s Guild of Iceland, Association of Icelandic Film Producers, Society of Women in Filmmaking (WIFT), Icelandic Actors Guild, The Icelandic Cinematographers Society and The Icelandic Dramatists’ Union. At the festival, attendees will have the chance to see award winning movies Monos and Bacurau, along with many other widely-celebrated films.
